Description

As with my last cluster I shot its been very nasty here in Michigan because of the Canadian wildfire's smoke so not much imaging time for fainter objects. That along with the passing of my mom now on June 9th (Dad passed on January 6th) I decided to shoot some of the brighter objects and globular clusters are always a good choice not to mention I really like to image them. That said I shot this in dedication of my dad that gave me background and interest in astronomy. RIP dad love ya!

M14 is estimated to be 13.5 billion years old and lies 30,300 light years away from Earth. It resides in the constellation of Ophiuchus and is estimated to have 150,000 stars associated in the cluster.
